Human-centered development for individuals, teams, and organizations.

The Human Current™ is a guided reflection, practice, and methodology designed for people working in teams, organizations, and evolving professional environments.

It helps you understand how you uniquely move — how you see, create, communicate, and connect — and how those patterns shape your work, your relationships, and the systems you’re part of.

The Human Current™
sits at the intersection of:

Leadership and professional development

Supporting people who hold responsibility, influence, and decision-making roles to work with greater clarity and coherence.

Executive coaching and strategic reflection

Creating space to think clearly, see patterns, and make more grounded choices in complex roles.

Deepening awareness and coherence

Helping individuals and groups understand who they are, how they operate, and what alignment looks like in practice.

Listening, sense-making, and human-centered culture work

Surfacing what’s happening beneath the surface so people and teams can hear themselves and each other more honestly.

Therapeutic-level reflection without being therapy

Bringing depth, care, and pattern awareness into work contexts without clinical framing.

Creative process and turning insight into expression

Helping people translate reflection into language, direction, and forms that can actually move work forward.

In a world obsessed with categorizing humans,

let humans speak for themselves.

Individuals

Human Current™ individual work typically takes place within team and organizational engagements, where personal reflection supports shared understanding.

Through guided, qualitative reflection, individuals gain clarity about how they think, work, communicate, and contribute — not in isolation, but in relationship to the systems they are part of. This work helps people articulate what they bring, what shapes them, and how they move within a collective context.

Each individual receives an Individual Human Current™ — a reflective portrait shaped entirely by their own words and lived experience. These reflections are not used to assess or categorize, but to inform group synthesis and deepen collective awareness.

From time to time, individual Human Current engagements are offered by invitation or referral, often emerging from team-based work.

Teams & Organizations

Human Current™ engagements help teams and organizations understand how they are actually moving together — how meaning is made, how communication flows, and how connection is experienced within their real working environment.

Through qualitative insight gathered from individual reflection, the work brings both the collective and its differences into view. Teams receive a Group Human Current Synthesis™ — a shared reflection that surfaces patterns, strengths, tensions, and dynamics shaping how the group works, without exposing individual identities or reducing people to categories.

Organizations may also receive an optional Systems Insight Reflection™, which translates group-level themes into a human-centered view of the broader system. This reflection highlights where attention, care, or redesign may be most needed — not as prescriptions, but as grounded insight to support conscious decision-making.

What teams and organizations gain is not a plan or a scorecard, but shared understanding — a clearer sense of how the system functions today, and what is possible when it is met with intention rather than assumption.

Workshops

In-person Human Current™ Human Current™ workshops in Maine, invite individuals into a shared, creative space to explore the Four Currents™ through guided reflection, conversation, and hands-on practice.

Participants move through personal questions about consciousness, creativity, communication, and connection while also tuning into the collective current that emerges when people gather.

Each workshop is designed as an immersive experience — part reflection, part creative practice. Participants work in a personal Human Current™ book, using writing, drawing, and visual exploration to map their own current in real time. The result is a tangible, personal artifact they can return to as their work, thinking, and roles evolve.
